Installation without a window / Installation in basement or garage

Ventilation is required for using a Portable Air Conditioner. If a window is not available, there are other options.

• One way to vent your portable AC is through a door. There are door vent kits (sold separately) that are made specifically for venting a portable air conditioner out of a doorway.
• Exhaust hose can be vented through a wall. Most BLACK+DECKER Portable Air Conditioners require a 5" diameter vent with the included kit.
  • NOTE: Any wall installation or ventilation through a wall port is recommended to be installed by a licensed professional.
• If a door is also not available for ventilation or exhaust, we recommend purchasing a Ventless Air Conditioner, also known as a Swamp Cooler.
