Air conditioner sweating or condensation occurs when humid air in the area makes contact with the cold surface of the ducts or air conditioner grills. Condensation is likely to occur when the air temperature is below the dew point temperature. This is normal during operation and continuous use.
Avoid Air Conditioner Condensation by doing the following:
- Close all the doors and windows of your room or home.
- Set your temperature to a reasonable temperature setting to prevent overuse. This allows the unit to automatically shutoff its cooling cycle to prevent frost and overcooling.
- Make sure unit interior such as cooling coils, filters and condensation pump are clean. Maintain a regular cleaning and maintenance schedule when using your Portable Air Conditioner.
- Make sure the ventilation and exhaust hoses are not blocked and working properly.
